OUR MISSION
HELPING PEOPLE FIND HOPE, FREEDOM AND PURPOSE IN JESUS
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20
To “make disciples” is to introduce those who are without hope to the HOPE of the gospel and then to grow them up in Christ by “teaching them to observe all that” Jesus has commanded. That’s when FREEDOM and PURPOSE are experienced. As we mature in grace and grow in obedience to his commands, we become more like the person God created us to be—we experience freedom from old, sinful ways as we embrace his ways, and we grow in our understanding of the unique ways he has created us to make a difference in this world.

OUR HISTORY
Westminster Presbyterian Church began in 1974, when a group of committed and visionary followers of Christ stepped out in faith to start a new congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America. From the beginning, the congregation has been committed to the Bible and to holistic ministry.
In the ensuing years, Westminster has sought to bless the community and the world by proclaiming the gospel here and abroad, establishing a retirement community, a Christian school, a sports ministry, a public park and a deacon run community center in the Catawba Terrace neighborhood.
Now, perhaps more than ever before, we want to serve the community God has placed us in by serving God where we live, learn, work and play.
