"The righteous flourish like the palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon. They are planted in the house of the Lord; they flourish in the courts of our God." The palm tree lifestyle should describe every follower of Jesus. We weren't made to just survive; we were made to flourish in Christ! It is our desire for every woman at Westminster to be DEEPLY ROOTED in God’s word, GROWING TOGETHER in the likeness of Christ, and FLOURISHING in God’s abundance! This summer, we invite you to join us as we DIG into God’s Word and CULTIVATE a heart for Him.

We all long to live out our faith with daily joy, but so often that joy eludes us. Why is that? More often than we realize, it’s because we’ve absorbed messages that curve us in on ourselves. Flourish equips us with tools to identify the lies that come at us about where to find real life. As we dig deep into what God says in his Word, we will learn to discern the worldly influences that threaten to warp our understanding of what it really means to be a Christian and emerge with a faith that flourishes—full of the abundant life Jesus promises.

Aging with Grace

Whatever season of life you’re in, God has equipped you to flourish―to live in the transforming power and beauty of his grace. As we age, we can easily lose sight of this message as cultural ideals glorifying youth take center stage.

Aging with Grace offers present-day and biblical examples of women who rediscovered gospel-rooted joy later in their lives. Equipped with a biblical view of aging, you will encounter afresh the gospel that “is big enough, good enough, and powerful enough to make every season of life significant and glorious.”

Philippians is a letter that is full of joy. Even though Paul wrote it in prison…in chains…he’s full of joy. The good news for us is that we can be full of joy in the midst of trials, also. None of us knows what we may be called upon to face tomorrow or next week…but the Lord does. As we study this timeless letter we will discover that God has a message for each of us concerning the manner in which we are to respond.

  • Tuesday mornings at 10:00-11:00 AM
  • June 7-July 26
  • Westminster Towers – Heritage Hall
  • Led by Lou Ardrey, study materials will be made available at no cost at your first gathering

“To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing.” — Martin Luther

Breathing is very complex but is primarily a subconscious activity. Yet there is a danger in familiarity. As Christians, we may become casual in our relationship with God, taking His presence for granted. Prayer is a lifeline for believers which God designed to build our relationship with Him and others. He created it to be an ongoing conversation starting with Him speaking to us through His Word and then our responding in prayer. Spiritual vitality begins with inhaling truth and exhaling prayers. Breathe guides us through the words of the Lord’s Prayer and encourages us to spend time together unpacking how our position in Christ impacts our posture in prayer.

Stories & Sweets (Small Group Style)

As followers of Christ, we have unique stories, which display the work of transformation in our lives into His likeness. Sharing our stories encourages and inspires us all to live for Jesus and serve others as He did. This summer, the setting for Stories & Sweets will be a small group gathering of 8 women in a home to enjoy dessert and a delightful time of sharing stories and connecting with one another. We encourage you to consider your story and the stones of God’s faithfulness in your life as you sit at the table with others who will share the same. There are 12 opportunities for sign-up, and we invite you to find the evening that works best for you. This will be a wonderful way to CONNECT with women at our church and to be encouraged by how God is at work in and through their lives.
